Long gone the hectic and comes the free and easy days!

4 months that I had left "my world"..lived in others people world..i really hope that I will be back to my world again. Yeah lets's start it all over again by this blog post. Yup, after all the hard work for the past few months that keep on continuous busy, finally i did manage sometime for "my world". Had been busy and hectic for the past few months, busy with my baby Pineview and most of the time seeing moon in the morning and moon in the night. Hectic work schedule left me stranded on my bed once I reach house and stranded on my bed meaning I am abandoning "my world". Anyhow, finally all these hard works pay off AND I WOULD LIKE TO DECLARE A WEEKS HOLIDAY FOR MYSELF FROM 250409.Well, I don't have that privilege to declare my own holiday. A week holiday that I will have is courtesy of my boss to allow us for a one week compensation leave. Woo...I will need to take this good time for 3R, refresh, relax, and rejuvenate.

Lots had been go through, lots had been endure, lot had been learnt, lots of happiness which usually comes along with lots of sadness, and lots of challenges which make these life wonderful and meaningful. Yeah, definitely yes and I will definitely make good use of this 1 week holiday!

2009 checklist

Spending some time for my lovely blog on the morning of the first day of 2009. Just another morning, nothing much different from the previous morning. The only difference, re-spirited I can say. Thus, though feeling lazy, yet a bit busy on the job load, I will still like to draw up some target or you might say new year resolutions.

Flash back to 2008, all I can say it had been great. I am satisfied. I can say I am doing great jobs in 2008. Lots of memories in 2008, which I cant afford to forget, always in my mind. And for that, these great job will be bring forward and continued to the year 2009.

So whats for 2009, here goes the checklist, priority from the top:-

a) For my honey:-
--> Going to take time off for honey probably more often visit whenever there are chances.
--> A great 090909\
--> Support her all along her tough journey path of her study and wish her all the smooth sailing in her journey.
--> a vacation with her

b) my career:-
--> a promotion, perhaps from grade 03 to grade 04
--> an increment
--> a travel, probably to US?

I expect year 2009 is a hard year, with current economy crisis ongoing. But still I want a great career year for myself. With stringent budget at a cut cost rate of 50%, it seems impossible, but no news on this yet. So got to cross finger and make it happen.

c) wishlist
--> a netbook, perhaps a Pineview SOC netbook, only if it comes with great SSD drive
--> an iPhone,
--> a dSLR

Not a must have, but a wish list.

d) personal target
--> saving funds for house/home of 10% from for average market home price by year end?

A must have, for my house for my home.

Finally, my new year wish is simple, both my parents are healthy, siblings all are doing smooth on their career, my honey always stay happy and smooth on whatever she did, little jun kai growing up healthy.

Busy Busy Busy

Not my intention to discontinue the post "The Road Less Traveled", to the fact that I was too tied up with my job --> my new product which going to meet the PRQ next year. Yeah , no choice but only do a short post this round.
Work life had not been as nice as study life, but still ok. Just take it to enjoy the tough life of it as tough can be a sense of enjoyment and challenge too.
Living fine for current time except that I miss "Mr Sun" most of the time and "Mr Moon" had been my biggest admirer. Easy enought to know what I mean by that.
I am still finding my time to finish up my "The Road Less Traveled", perhaps over the next holiday, if I got the mood and again, if I am not too tied up with my jobs.

Just a quick update, I am fine and ok. Living great on earth but most of the time living the greatest in hyperspace. Just have a look on some update on the pic in the blog.

Have a nice day to all the readers..if there is any...and take care ..will be back as frequent as I can.

The story of the road less traveled - Part 1 - The choice

3 months before I had completed one of the path in my life....its a journey of 1+6+7+4 = 18 years. And for the last 4 years, its the peak of the journey, yet it was a wonderful one although the toughest one. I can say that I choose the I road less traveled. It was my will with no force I choose to be at a place estrange for me. A place where I will be far from my family, a place that I never been before, but the most important, a place where I will finish off my 18 years or journey.

In thick forest and huge blue ocean I traveled my journey. Rather different, somehow special I would say. Origin from a city or a so called brick jungle, I found myself in a real jungle, a natural one. From brick jungle to a tree jungle, it would be hard to survive then, one would say for a city boy like me. At my first thought, it might be. Somehow, its my choice, which had always been tied to my principle, I did it my way. I choose the place because of my aspiration althought it may seems to be a blunt choice. I know nothing about this place. The only thing I know is its symbolic geographical trademark. Other then that, none. Nothing about the culture.Nothing about the geographical status and know no one.

With the choice that had been decided, I traveled with some other friends who either willingly or not willingly to be in the same path as I was. So called friends were just companions. It seems I traveled in a group of "friends", but what really was I traveled alone. I start of my journey alone. But that did not matter. My aspiration was with me all the time. My spirit never leaves me. Family support was always there, following my footprint. Yeah, who cares if the toughest path lies ahead. I had all that I need to face it, and to overpower it.
And frankly, that was the very first time I was at a point so far from the family. Came from a close knit family, it might be hard to go these far, well that was in terms of emotion and feelings. 4 years apart from family seems to be long duration. I admit that I miss my family. I took off my journey with a heavy heart. At a point of my mind, I ever thought to have a u-turn. But I clearly know I can't. I got to get going. The path had been set for me, although, not the best of the path. I got to run, walk, and crawl to the finish line. Nevermind is what I say to myself and aspirations is what I remind myself of most of the time . I know I can adapt to the new place. I gonna prove that I did it my way.

Time to be apart is always bad. I always had say bye bye, tata, good bye and see you again. Those are just norms and manners. But, at a different time, different situation, different place, those phrases are never be the same. It was a great send off that I could recalled. Well, great send off did not mean a special ceremony with brass band playing Auld Lang Syne and walking on a red carpet. For me it was a great and warm send off simply because all my beloved family members were there, with few classmates and friends and of course, the non stop text message. Blessings, wishes and greetings sent me to another place. Hug, hand shake, sad smile, and tears shedding (well, I tried my best not to shed a single tear and yes I did it, but the tears were shedding heavily in my heart fo sure) and finally, I am off to the boarding gate.
Off the boarding gate and suddenly I found my self to be all alone for my journey...Yes thats the fact, the journey is about to begin....A single fighter is going to fight for the future, to complete the journey and to bring back the glory..and the single fighter always had one mind. I always did it my way and I always do........

I am back!!

After such a long layoff from my Sena's World, now I am back and hopefully I will be keep on blog this time with a re-new look that not so new..just with some touch up.

Well its more than a year that i did not blog here, which I guess start from the end of my first sem of my final year...So a million sorry for that....all I must say i must be sorry to my world..
So why such a long layoff?Well i must had said i had been kept busy for my final year, for my thesis. So instead of blog, i concentrate more on my thesis writing most of the time, which i must say i really dedicate to it and yup...finally kudos to myself, i manage to come up something that can be proud of, of all my hard work, my effort.Anyhow, that;s had been part of my history. And I must summarize that it was such a nice and wonderful path, a well taken path in my life. It was a path "good traveled".

And as of now, already graduated and a so called engineer, I am glad that I land a job, to join a whole new world where some people named it a working world, a realistic world or what so ever. But for me I will name it as a whole new world for me. SO WELCOME TO NEW SENA'S WORLD!!.

UPCOMING - A 4 YEARS REVIEW!

ALWAYS BE YOUR BEST!!

When you think it doesn’t matter
if you fail or pass the test.
Keep in mind the reason why
you should always be your best.

While the whole world may not notice
if you tried to give your all,
there is a person in you
to whom it matters if you fall.

That little voice inside you -
which directs your thoughts each day -
will make the final judgement
if you won or lost each day.

Never can you fail yourself
if you give it all you’ve got.
The world extends a hand to you
when you give life your best shot.

For all that really matters
when you're finished with your test,
is not the final score at all -
but did you do your best?

The end of semifinal.....

Its a rainy day back here in KK.....as I had already finish my "semifinal match"...a match that took me 6 + 7 + 3 half = 16 half years to reach..such a long time..and now is the break time before the final match..the much anticipated, anxious and nervous match...and also the finale of 17 years....such a long journey that took all my efforts, patience, courage, curiosity, passion...and whatever I had in me and now I am just a match from my dream.....

Such a tough period...that provide a tough and great pshycology and mental challenge...but whatever the challenge..I am proud to pass through...with all the hardwork and efforts...but realizing the much tougher and intense challenge is awaiting me in time to come...there is no point to loose up...

A semifinal match is tough..but how tough it is will never be tougher than a final match..seeing the trophy beautifully placed for you..you won't want it to slip away from you...thus the journey is yet to end....a tougher and torny path to follow then, before the trophy is finally yours....thus not the time to loose up..but the time to step another gear up......

No point to look back at the what had been past through for the sem..the more importance is what had been learn....knowing what had been learnt is still not enuff...do and implement what had been learn sits on top of the priority list..

The journey is yet to end...and did not get easier either...and only will get tougher and tougher...and more torny...with the trophy in front of you..you wont want to be drown on your path...and out of your sight...the only way to grab it is to keep move forward..put in efforts to stay on the path...straight to the trophy...and GRAB IT!!!...

Dumb or Smart?

A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer, "This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it to you."

The barber put a five rupee coin in one hand and two one rupee coins (1+1=2) in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, "Which do you want, son?"
The boy takes the two one rupee coins and leaves."What did I tell you?" said the barber. "That kid never learns!"

Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store."Hey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take two one rupee coins instead of five rupee coin?"

The boy licked his cone and replied, "Because THE DAY I TAKE THE FIVE RUPEE COIN, THE GAME IS OVER............
Moral: When you think the other person is dumb, you are making a fool of yourself.

A day trip to Tenom!!

At 10 AUGUST 2007, I had added another milsestone in Sabah. This time, the destination would be Tenom. A brief intro of Tenom, Tenom is a small town in Sabah well known for its coffee and of course here, there was lots of coffee plantations(but we did not managed to visit one). If Ipoh was famous for its Old Town's coffee, Sabah of course was well know for its Tenom Coffee. As I would say, I think i will prefer the aroma and taste of Tenom Coffee, but not much people in Peninsular would know Tenom coffee due to its lack of commercial publisity.
So, with 2 rented 880 Kancil, we rammed to Tenom, which is around 3++ hours drive from Kota Kinabalu.
I would consider these trip as the beginning of my photography trips, since this was considered the first time I tested out my camera since I received it.
So the first stop before reaching Tenom was Gunung Emas. Well, there was no Emas here, just the cold and fresh air breeze. The special things here, would be the tree top cabin, where you can book and stay on tree, if you don't mind the old look of the cabin.
One of the bugs sighted on a tree at Gunung Emas.

Manage to see the spider and the spider web??This picture to test the capability of my camera.

Using macro mode to capture the moss that grows on a tree

The speciality of Gunung Emas. The rooftop cabin

So after a short stop at Gunung Emas, we continued our journey to Tenom, and finally we reach Tenom town center. The first would be this Tenom Railway Station. The only Railway service found in Sabah.

The locomotive head. You will never see this is Peninsular anymore. But still in Tenom and some remote part of Sabah, this train is still an important mode of transport.

The Tenom railway station

Locomotive head on the move

After some brief stop at Tenom, we proceed on to the main destination of Tenom, Tenom Agricultural Park. The attraction here, you can found various species of plants, ranging from fruit plants to flower plants, and of course, some animals.

We had around 3++ hours walk unde the scorching hot sun and wheather. The park is quite big, but of course, you would expect all flora only. This might be my interest, but might not be someone else interest, plus walking under the real hot Mr Sun, some would not so prefer it. Some would say, what the hell we come all along to Tenom just to see plants of flowers?Haha...To me nevermind!Plants is another kind of living things, and they deserve to get attentions too!! And of course, some of the plants here you would not find them in other place.

I think is "he hua". Of all the pictures, I think this one the best pic I captured.
Another kind of rare orchid? It just looks like something, some animal that open the mouth wide open with its toungue?

Another rare orchid

The cactuses jungle

A group of geese

One of the lake found in the park.

Deers on the run.

The black lady

The carnivore plant, periuk kera!!

And I think I captured this picture nice too. This is buah tarap, and can only be found in Sabah only.I had only ate this fruits, but never see the plant before.

Actually for me, the main objective I came to Tenom is to find a fruit called Magic Fruit or Miracle Fruit. This fruit is special. Accordingly, if you eat this fruit before hand, than any other sour or bitter fruit or foods that followed on subsequently will become sweet. Its really magic. I had heard this story before hand, thats what make me wanna search for these fruits.

The sign indicating the Magic Fruit.

The leaves of Magic Fruit.

But somehow, I left the park a disappointed man as this fruit is really magic. There is no specific time for the plant to bear the magic fruit, thus I am unlucky. I din manage to taste the fruit, and my mission to Tenom, failed. Anyhow, I consider the trip is somehow still worthful, amid walking under the red hot sun.
After leaving the park, we proceed on to the Tenom market, just to bring back some souvenirs, of course the Tenom Coffee. After some short shopping, we travel back to KK, along the adventurous, dark, winding, uphill and downhill road without all the lamp post and finally we reach KK safely!!

To UM Vice Chancellor - Datuk Rafiah Salim

If any students out there had read the newsclips which was posted by New Straits Times on UM Vice Chancellor Datuk Rafiah Salim being boo-ed for her remarks at FIRST MALAYSIAN STUDENT LEADERS SUMMIT that students can freely express their views, well as a student I think I had the rights to expess my points of views here.

Newslinkhere:- http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Monday/National/20070806074513/Article/index_html

First of all, as one of the local university student, I think the behaviour of the group of students who boo-ed UM Vice Chancellor is considered "rude", and as a student I felt sorry for that, but be remind that their boos, is considered somekind of VIEWS too, although not in the proper ways, as I would said.

Secondly, I would like to point out to Datuk Rafiah Salim that she should had corrected her remarks, by saying that, public univesities student had the freedom to express their thought and views, but SPECIFICALLY only in the field of ACADEMIC, not others(which might include universities administration).

Being a student of one of the local public universities in East Malaysia, I was very upset that UM Vice Chancellor can come out with such a remark. I would say that her remark is nothing wrong and totally correct. Students have the rights to express their views and thoughts, but Datuk, does all those thoughts and views are taken seriously enough by the universities? She is right about it, universities prepare all the forms, or e-forms or whatever for the student to voice out their views, but as I would dare to say, all those views and thoughts might just fall into a deaf ear. Just like you throw a tiny piece of pin into South China Sea.

Does really universities realy care about students needs, thoughts and views, well after almost 4 years in studies, I totally not agree with this. Experiences tell. Student is the main component in a university and these students will be the future leader as our PM would say, but still, the needs of students are very much being neglected, and dare to say being neglected in returns of sellfishness of an university administration.

Lets have some real life example: A service counter that suppose to open at 8.30am, but remain closed till 9am, keeping students in waiting, wasting students time, what university will do about it?

Students are in university to seek knowledge from lecturer, but can students complain about a lecturer that does not know how to teach? Can this group of students make a complain on such lecturer. Perhaps can. It will results nothing to the lecturer as universities did nothing on the complain (thats what I mean thoughts and views fall on deaf ear), instead, I think this group of students instead will get a bad grade for that.No bullshitting but its true.Again, experiences tell.

Hearing their disapproval, Rafiah retorted: "Behaviour like this is exactly what causes people not to respect you. You won’t even give me a hearing. And you won’t get respect."If you behave like that, nobody will listen to you because it is not worth listening. You are not respecting others."

And finally on her above comment, I would say that, she is lucky that she still receive response, although not a proper one, but to students, their views and thoughts towards universities can be said was never being responded or nothing much dractic action had been taken? Is'nt this sad? And now who was not hearing who? And are local universities really RESPECT students? If the local universities is not respecting and listening students views and thougts, how can you expect students to respect others??

TME Teambuilding..Paintball

By the time I am posting this, i was just back from EMD TME Teambuikding....We had a paintball workout at Kompleks Belia Sukan, sumwhere in Gelugot opposite USM..Well, I always dream of playing paintball game, but well, it is not a cheap game, consider expensive. Besides, to play, you will need a large group of buddy, at least 10, only you can play. Thanks to EMD, that I can play paintball for fun, and the best of all, its free. All on EMD expense.
We were divided into 2 groups of 9 ppl, with me in the group same with my manager and the other higher manager, besides with the other intern. Overall, its a nice workout, but afterall, the game is not so easy at all, not just abt u shoot me, i shoot u. Its to touch with strategy too. But afterall, we were just enjoy the game, and the strategy we talk about before the game, in war field..is all about shooting only, like never hold a gun before.hahaah..
And the results of the game, i got bruises over my body, with the 2 serious one on the thigh which bleeds a little...ALL because of my heroic act to run across the field towards the enemy side. I think I kill one, but at least 3 ppl aims at me..hahaha...nvm..its just all the fun afterall...
The teambuilding ends with lunch together at KF Tesco...So, paintball is real fun instead.
Future any paintball game again, i will join for sure..But too bad, no one is bringing a cam so no pic to be display in this post!!

Doctor vs Engineer (Part1)

Well this flash past my mind as I was holding 2 Prescott, a Conroe and 2 Kingston back to my cube, after I successfully booted up a legacy CRB-810 (that do not have SATA, runs on SDRAM PC100...). I always had the ambition to become a doctor, but as my brain was not made by Westen Digital, or Maxtor, or Hitachi (perhaps made in China)...thus I end up going to become an engineer that now undergoes the final few weeks industrial training in a reputable MNC.

So what is so different between an engineer and a doctor?Well it might be not in logic sense, but just my quick thought about the differences between a doctor and an engineer...

Well we all know computer is extremely important nowadays and we can model computers to be more intelligent than human. Why not?Just ask sumone this question..1235ABCF x 234EEE>?How many human can answer and those who can answer, how long does it take? And type this into a computer..Answer:-.....

So for a doctor, subject is a patient (human practically), and for an engineer, subject is computer...Lets see this!

1. DOCTOR do not invent HUMAN.....ENGINEER invent COMPUTERS...which means more works to be done by the ENGINEERS...and more knowledges too..

2. DOCTOR treats HUMAN...ENGINEERS do treat problematic computers too...so square off..

3. DOCTOR do not upgrade human intelligence...ENGINEERS upgrade computer intelligence..in fact....compueter intelligence rise in almost very linear sequence..which means...ENGINEER always have to stresss out their brains on how to make computer more intelligent...

4. Processor is similar to human brains...so can doctor speed up your brain?NO...but ENGINEER speed up processor..on occasionally basis..

5. Virus such as (influenza, AIDS, H5N1, etc) infects human, and doctor responsible to cure patients, BUT ENGINEERS too need to cure virus infected computers, but think twice, how frequent do new human virus is found? New computer viruses is found everyday, which means, ENGINEERS always have to work 10X harder than DOCTOR!!

6. It might take roughly maximun 10 doctor to do an organ transplant operation, but it takes minimum 50 (which can be more) to design a new typical component for a same computer series..

7. AND while an organ transplant operation might need maybe 5-10 hours, a design by ENGINEERS might need 5-10 weeks..or sometimes in month, or in year, which means, ENGINEERS have to work even harder!!

8. DOCTOR never can replace broken hand, damaged brain..BUT ENGINEER can replace faulty processor, faulty harddisk.

9. DOCTOR does not need to support dead patients, they will say "Thats the best I had done", but ENGINEER do still need to provide support EOL (end of life) computer, as engineer will say "Well, this computer might already EOL, but I can bring it back to life".

10. HUMAN exists in one and only type, thus DOCTOR study and treat on one and only human type, BUT, computer comes in many type, thus ENGINEER have to study and treat many and many computer types!!

to be continue......

Worth a thought!!

The wedding of our beloved pop princess has been the headline for the week....what a grand celebration ever been held in the KL Convention Centre...yes..it was very grand..till many VVIPs is attending the ceremony too...and I dont think there is any artist including the Hollywood stars is throwing such reception for their wedding dinner.....heard of George W Bush attending the wedding party of Tom Cruise?heard of Tony Blair attending the wedding of David Beckham??...well i think this event must be included in the Guinness Book of World Record...and this wedding is just like the national event more to a couple event...just that our country did not declare the 28 August as the public holiday!!
well...there is nothing wrong with such event...yah..the couple has the money and power to do so...
spending millions of ringgit to hold such a wedding reception might have been very very great....but to all my fellow friends???lets have a deep thought.....there are many things we can do with these millions of ringgit other than splashing it to a single wedding party....
lets think back...how many poor children that do not have a single ringgit to continue their education.....?how many people actually suffering from disease and yet they do not any single cent for their treatment to continue on their live...??how many orphanage is so lack of financial fund..that they need to beg here and there to continue on the operation of the orphanage??,,,,well..this is just few examples....so..instead of throwing millions of ringgit for a wedding reception just for the interest of fans and to capture nationwide attention....why din splash it out for the sake of charity??millions of ringgit can help much in need people...or maybe saving couple of lives.....
this short post is not to offend any Siti fans out there...but just worth a share with all......
millions of ringgit for wedding party vs charity??better think of it....

Critical Time of the Year!!

Its exactly the 4th week since i m back to KK from Kl...well...shuh...this is a very very tough semester i think...a "sleepless" semester i think...even our lecturer issaying that...

ok..nothing have been change much since back to KK here..except my room have been changed to upstairs..means a larger room..more space to move about...ok..dont mind about that..
whatsever..my home this semester must be the library..hahah...how good if i got a room in the UMS library...
course taken this sem..at first electronics 2..tought by mr liau perhaps the most selekeh lecturer in SKTM..with his shirt sometimes not tug in..but..such a genius lecturer..no doubt about that...but thats the problem...he was so genius tht we all are such a dumb..and theres where the gap is coming...he can teach, write on the board without much refering to the book...but..we dun even know whats all about...cant blame him...we have a poor basic from the electronic 1..thats the result...we were really struggling in the class...he write we write..he explain..we listen..but still go out from the classroom blurr blurr...than the project that cos us 20%...wow..we we to design our own digital circuit...not something like in the secondary KH things..but as an design engineer...REAL HEADACHE!!...we were engineer in making and we were expect to come out with our very own innovative design...huh...thats the very headache!!

this sem we are taking the MicroP too....yup..another killer...learning all things bout the Intel 386...not an easy meat...tought by mr jamal...another bigname in SKTM..other than Mr Liau..and so far...compared to electronics 2,,,i still can follow it...and hopefully can do the same for the rest of the sem....and here our second project...write assmebly language for a statistical calculator....another project to be hands up the 14th week..haih......peluh dingin

other subject include Logic Design...wow..a handsome lecturer back from Japan..even his laptop got all the hiragana and katakana...but...haih....he took 2 hours only to talk about 4 slide...thn u can guess what i mean....
Discrete Maths...all the true and false thing..tht makes me pening sumtimes...Comp Architecture..tought by Dr Farrah..a very young PHd holder from UMS i think....
and the best subject i think must be the HCI subject..a very relax course tought by Miss Jenn a miss nice..yup..relax..but not relax in the assignment....haih....
really cold sweat.....when i have to endure for another 10 weeks of challenge...

BE TOUGH MR NIAM..YOU HAVE WOKE UP LAST SEM..AND THIS SEM U GOT TO TAKE ALL THE CHALLENGE!!..U GOT TO RISE TO THE CHALLENGE....

i maybe kept busy for whole sem..thus..this blog might be kept at unactive mode..sorry oo...
